Hey!!! I volunteered with Rustic volunteer and travel: http://www.rustic-volunteer-travel.com/srilanka/  . I highly recommend going with them!! If you want to teach (children or monks) or work at an orphanage you will stay with a host family. The family is sooooo sweet and kind you will love them! If you are planning to volunteer with turtles or elephants…I don’t know about those accommodations sorry. If you want to volunteer in Sri Lanka definitely go with this company. It’s cheap and I promise you will have a great time. If you have any questions about the host family or anything, don’t hesitate to ask!
